<p>Grand Kyiv Ballet returns with their latest holiday ballet,<em> The Snow Queen</em>, adapted from Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale that inspired Disney’s <em>Frozen</em>. Set to the melodies of composers such as Edvard Grieg, Jules Massenet, Mozart, and Vivaldi, this heartwarming tale will bring an evening of unforgettable joy for all ages.</p>
<p>Kai and Gerda find themselves in their garden surrounded by fragrant roses when a splinter from a witch’s mirror get into Kai’s eye, transforming his once warm heart into one cold and hardened. One winter day, a snowstorm whisks Kai away, and he disappears, taken by the Snow Queen to her icy realm. Gerda goes in search of Kai facing many challenges along the way, including robbers, forest fairies, a funny Snowman, and fabulous trolls, but love helps her get through them and free Kai from the spell of the Snow Queen.</p>

<p>Unless otherwise noted, lobby doors will open one hour prior to the performance and the auditorium doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance. Please arrive 45 minutes prior to the start of the performance to allow time for bag inspection and security check.</p>
<h4>Is late seating allowed?</h4>
<p>Late seating policies vary show-to-show. When allowed, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management at an appropriate moment during the show. Guests will be notified ahead of time if late seating is not permitted for any performance.</p>
<h4>Can I leave the theatre and return during the performance?</h4>
<p>Guests entering the building must have their ticket with them at all times. Re-entry to the performance is at the discretion of each show and may be subject to holding times and/or refusal. Please check with an usher before leaving the performance.</p>

Bags larger than standard backpack size of 22” x 14” x 9” will not be permitted into the venue. Outside food and beverage, including leftovers and restaurant to-go bags, is not permitted. If food is required due to a medical condition, please see a staff member for accommodations.</p>

<p>There are women’s rooms are located on the Orchestra level, Dress Circle, and Balcony. Men’s rooms are located on the Lower level, Dress Circle, and Balcony. Emerson Colonial Theatre's policy is that all guests can use whatever restroom they are most comfortable using.</p>

<div>There are 4 full-service bars throughout the Emerson Colonial Theater, offering everything from local specialty brews to Frosé from Provence. We hope that our signature snacks and unique beverage selection will pleasantly surprise you. You will find two bars on the ground floor as well as one on the second and third floors, for those seated in the Mezzanine or Balcony.</div>
