THIRD PARTY TICKET PURCHASE POLICY
The Emerson Colonial Theatre website, our call center (888.616.0272) and the box office, located in the lobby of the theatre at 106 Boylston Street, are the only official sources for tickets for shows and events at this venue. We highly recommend that guests purchase only from official sources for the best seats, best service and best prices. Tickets from unauthorized sources carry the risk of being counterfeit, stolen or invalid.

We are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable entertainment experience, and use barcode scanning to ensure that all tickets are valid for entry. Admission with tickets from unauthorized sources may be refused. Emerson Colonial Theatre cannot honor, refund or exchange tickets not purchased from official sources. To protect the privacy of our customers, we are unable to provide any information regarding ticket purchases to a party other than the cardholder on the original order.

Further Information:

When tickets are purchased from unofficial sources:

  • You may pay more than face value.
  • We cannot guarantee that your tickets are genuine, and you may be denied entrance to the show.
  • You may unknowingly purchase a limited view seat.
  • We cannot replace lost or stolen tickets.
  • We cannot contact you with information on show cancellations, time changes, road closures or traffic updates, upcoming shows or other useful information.
Many unauthorized ticket sellers use website names that are similar to ours to make you feel as if you are purchasing from an authorized vendor. These websites are not authorized to sell tickets to events in our venues. By purchasing only through our official outlets listed above, you are assured that the ticket you receive is valid and is being sold to you at face value.

A “Speculative Listing” or “Speculative Ticket” is a practice where resellers list tickets for sale even though they do not actually possess those tickets.  They are betting (or speculating) that they will be able to get tickets and then resell them.  Resellers that claim to have tickets before tickets have gone on sale do not have real tickets in hand (meaning: they do not actually have tickets to sell).

Follow these best practices when purchasing tickets online:
  • Purchase online tickets only on emersoncolonialtheatre.com.
  • Type the Emerson Colonial Theatre website directly in your browser.
  • Do not click on search listings labelled as ads that do not link directly to the Emerson Colonial Theatre website.
  • If tickets are unavailable, contact the Box Office instead of searching third-party sites.
  • Do NOT post pictures of your tickets on social media. Brokers may use them to create counterfeit tickets.
