NOTE FROM THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

How do you create a character who is half man, half dog? Or a robot called 80HD? How do you make giant buildings that come to life or a truck hauling gallons of French dressing? Writers Kevin Del Aguila and Brad Alexander, two dads whose sons were mega Dog Man fans, came up with a ‘supa’ idea. They would set the show in George and Harold’s treehouse, and have the boys create a musical using objects on hand. Since George and Harold are the creators of Dog Man, this made perfect sense. Once that decision was made, it was a lot easier to come up with creative production solutions. After seeing Dog Man: The Musical, we hope you will be inspired to use cardboard, cottage cheese containers, boxes, Slinkys, and your imagination to put on your own Dog Man Musical.

Enjoy the show,
Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director
