<h5>On this day 5 years ago, the Colonial reopened its doors with the first EVER performance of <em>Moulin Rouge</em>.<br /><br />Inspired by the popular film by Baz Luhrmann, the Boston pre-Broadway tryout took place during the summer of 2018.<br /><br />In 2021, <em>Moulin Rogue!</em> went on to win 10 Tony Awards, including best musical, best choreography and best direction of a musical.</h5>
