<h5>This week in 1973 the pre-Broadway tryout of <em>A Little Night Music</em> opened here at the Colonial!<br /><br />Starring Glynis Johns, Len Cariou, and Hermione Gingold, the show introduced the world to Stephen Sondheim’s classic “Send in the Clowns” which was written several days before the start of the Boston out-of-town tryout. The show went on to win six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.</h5>
