The Stage

Surrounded by ornate architecture and rich theatrical history, your guests will enjoy an immersive experience in Boston’s crown jewel.
The Promenade Lobby
Make a grand impression in our Promenade Lobby. Inspired by the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, the Promenade Lobby features wall-to-wall rococo mirrors, soaring muraled ceilings, and gilded detail. This space offers an elegant setting ideal for receptions, celebrations, and corporate gatherings.
The Orchestra Lounge
Legendary composer John Kander (Chicago; Cabaret; New York, New York) said “If the walls of the Orchestra Lounge could talk, they could write their own history of the musical theater.” Add your event to that history by hosting your guests in the Colonial’s Orchestra Lounge. Complete with a private bar and marble fireplace, the room’s centerpiece is the original 1900 onyx table, often referred to as the “Fosse Table” due to the chip left behind by the legendary choreographer’s impromptu tap routine.
The Box Office Lobby
Greek influence welcomes you into the Colonial Theatre. Featuring a barrel-vaulted ceiling, white marble walls, and mosaic tile floor, the Box Office Lobby offers the perfect space for your seated dinner, reception, or press event. The Box Office Lobby combines perfectly with the Promenade Lobby and Orchestra Lounge to give your guests full access to the Colonial lobbies at street level.
The Ambassador Lounge
A true VIP experience, the Ambassador Lounge offers a luxurious and private setting, perfect for intimate gatherings, meetings, and cocktail receptions. With its plush furnishings, elegant design, and exclusive atmosphere, this space features a dedicated bar and private restroom, providing a stylish retreat nestled in the heart of Downtown Boston.
