COVID-19 Update


The well-being of our patrons, staff, crew, and artists is of utmost importance to the Emerson Colonial Theatre and Ambassador Theatre Group.

By attending an event at the Emerson Colonial Theatre, all patrons are acknowledging their consent to, and agree to abide by, the safety precautions that have been adopted.

All patrons 12 and older must present either proof of vaccination or negative COVID test to enter the theatre.

All patrons 12 and older are required to show proof that they have been fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO. Acceptable methods for providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination are your physical CDC Vaccination Card or a photo of your card.

If you are unable to be vaccinated or to verify your vaccination for any reason, proof of a negative COVID test (PCR test within 72 hours or antigen test within 24 hours) is required and can be provided by showing a photo or email of negative test results or of a doctor’s order of test results.

Children under the age of 12 may attend performances when accompanied by an adult that meets the vaccination or testing requirements.

All patrons are required to wear acceptable face coverings at all times inside the venue, except when actively consuming food or beverages. Acceptable face coverings do not include bandanas, gaiters, or any face mask with a vent. Venue management reserves discretion over determining whether a face covering is acceptable. Face coverings will be made available for patrons that do not arrive at the venue with an acceptable face covering.

Be sure to check individual show pages for additional information about the specific performance you are attending. Ticket holders should also refer to the specific protocols set forth in “Know Before You Go” pre-show email communications from the Emerson Colonial Theatre.

Please note that government mandates and all venue protocols are subject to change. Other COVID-19 related health protocols may be in effect at the time of your performance, which may include, without limitation, patron temperature checks, testing, proof of vaccine, confirmation of prior travel to restricted areas and/or confirmation of no known symptoms of and exposure to COVID-19. We reserve the right to make changes to health protocols according to updated public health guidance and applicable law. Current safety protocols are posted on our website. Check back prior to your performance for the latest information.
