For purchases online and over the phone, we accept the following major credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

In person, during normal box office operating hours, we accept cash and the following major credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

Personal checks are not accepted.

HOW CAN I OBTAIN PRESALE ACCESS?

ARE THERE RUSH OR DISCOUNTED TICKETS?
Rush tickets are subject to availability and up to the discretion of each show. When available, they will be sold at the box office two hours prior to the performance. A valid ID must be presented.

CAN I HOLD MY TICKETS AT WILL CALL?
Will call tickets are held at the box office and are available for pickup during normal operating hours. Tickets are available for pickup prior to or on the day of the performance. Guests must show photo ID when picking up tickets.

CAN I GET A REFUND OR EXCHANGE ON MY TICKET PURCHASE?
All sales are final. Refunds or exchanges are not available.

CAN I BUY TICKETS FROM ANOTHER WEBSITE OR SELLER?
The Emerson Colonial Theatre website is the official source for tickets. Tickets from unauthorized sources carry the risk of being counterfeit, stolen or lost. Admission with tickets from unauthorized sources may be refused.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY TICKETS ARE LOST OR STOLEN?
For lost tickets, guests must contact their original point of purchase. For stolen tickets, guests should contact local law enforcement first, followed by their original point of purchase.

HOW WILL I FIND OUT IF A PERFORMANCE IS CANCELLED/POSTPONED?

HOW DO I GET TO THE THEATRE?
Emerson Colonial Theatre is located at 106 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116.

From public transportation, the theatre is in walking distance from the following Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority T Stations: Boylston (Green Line), Chinatown (Orange Line), Arlington (Green Line) and Park Street (Red and Green Lines).

WHEN DOES THE THEATRE OPEN BEFORE THE SHOW?
Unless otherwise noted, lobby doors will open one hour prior to the performance and the auditorium doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance.

IS LATE SEATING ALLOWED?
Late seating policies vary show-to-show. When allowed, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management at an appropriate moment during the show. Guests will be notified ahead of time if late seating is not permitted for any performance.

CAN I LEAVE THE THEATRE AND RETURN DURING THE PERFORMANCE?
Guests entering the building must have their ticket with them at all times. Re-entry to the performance is at the discretion of each show and may be subject to holding times and/or refusal. Please check with an usher before leaving the performance.

IS THE BUILDING ADA ACCESSIBLE?

Wheelchair access is available at the main entrance to the building on Boylston Street. Please request wheelchair seating from a sales representative at time of purchase. Designated ADA seating locations are located on the Orchestra level of the theatre. An ADA accessible restroom is also located on the Orchestra level. There is no elevator access in the building.
